Wow, I have been away for a long time and for all of my loyal BLOG friends I am sorry. We have been so busy at camp and with no real internet connection I am left to only being able to write my BLOG’s when I am near Internet. Which is very hard to get to some times… it takes about an hour of driving and setting up the computer to get online.
Time is a real crazy thing isn’t it? It can really control us or we can choose to control it. I am not an expert on it, but I use it every day, I have three clocks in my kitchen and my kitchen isn’t that big, I have two clocks in my room, one on my VCR, another on the Satellite display, wait there is one on the shelf behind the couch, oops I almost forgot I have one on my wrist, each of my kids has a clock in their room as well. That makes a total of 12 clocks all around me. Yes you could say that I am an expert on it… I apparently collect them.
You would think with all of these reminders of father time around me (don’t get me started on calendars) that I wouldn’t need to learn about the value of time. I do… I meet so many people that have such a problem with being on time for things, finding time to get their tasks done, spending time with their children, working out at a gym, going for a walk, having dinner with a friend or partner or even posting a “daily BLOG”. So how do we do it? How do we find time… there is always the same amount of time in a day… never less, never more. Always the same 24 hours of opportunity. We need to find those time killers… those moments in the day that take away from you and your valuable time. I meet people all the time who sleep for ten or more hours a day (especially young people) and can’t find time in the day to do what they need to do. I am proud of the fact that I have mastered the exact amount of time that I need to sleep… 4 hours and 39 minutes. I feel really good all day when I get that exact amount. It took a lot of trial and error to get it but I did. When I awake at 4:00am I am able to work for about 4 hours before my kids awake. Then when they are here with me we spend real quality time together. By the time that most people role into their office at 9am and get started working at 9:30 I have already had a full day… my afternoon’s are free to enjoy life or do more research into what I love to do. There are tons of techniques and methods for time management… mine seems to work right now, it took me a couple of decade to figure it out but I did. I can’t help but think to my self if I had figured all this out earlier I may have done so much more… who knows… only TIME will tell!
Today’s picture comes from a distant memory from years gone by… my friends. What a TIME it was!
